Vancouver and British Columbia offer international businesses one of the most tax competitive locations in North America. In addition to low corporate taxes (15% in 2012), British Columbia offers businesses a well-educated cosmopolitan population, the highest quality of life in North America, and a welcoming business climate. Bruce Flexman, President of the International Financial Centre British Columbia on his recent trip to India, stated,
"Any firm in India interested in expanding into Canada or an Indian multi-national with significant operations in North America should look closely at what Vancouver, British Columbia has to offer. A company can use Vancouver as a base from which to service North America and benefit from corporate tax rates that are less than half of U.S. tax rates."
